Plastic Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Plastic

Superficial is...
Plastic.
A plastic some recognize,
Can easily be disguised as glass.
If and when the doing of it is wished.
But smudges to smear on plastic,
Are difficult to remove.
Without diminishing its appearance.
And those genuine like a diamond,
To sparkle bright wherever they go...
Will cut through both plastic and glass.
With a doing it to leave,
No one to believe them to be artificial.
And this shown in some social circles,
Will and can offend those who become upset...
Their lives are not left to live,
Superficial.
Highly artificial.
And noticeably plastic.
