PM Justin Trudeau, this is for you
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
I could unbutton your shirt
And look deeply into your soul
And there would be my heart's secondary desire
Mirrored within your soul;
Or I could unbutton your trousers
And taste the hunger in your soul
Which would satisfy my craving
For love and lust;
And if you were to spread the magic of your soul
Inside the recesses of my heart
Then the soul inside the heart
Would see the magic light of awakening;
And thus would ensue a "dialogue between self and soul"
If one says: "There is a fire within my soul
One look and I can hear the bells ring"
The other says: "My heart is beating
Keeps on repeating, I am waiting for you";
But my heart, my-self, says that I do like monologues
Which proclaim to the world that I am mistress of my own soul
And the soul thus awakened, sings to the heart
Its joyful cry of release from soulful fervour.
