Pocket Full Of Rainbow Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Pocket Full Of Rainbow

In a world so black and white,
so straight edged and cut clean,
there are those who understand.
Love is love,
no matter gender.
Could a man not take another mans hand,
and pull him into a kiss?
Could a woman not marry another woman,
and announce that she's in love?
What idea's has the media given the people,
about same sex relations?
Not very good ones.
The labels given to people like me,
are unjust.
This world is cruel enough,
without societies plague of criticism.
Look beyond your eyes,
and feel the enriching love life will offer.
Honesty is rare,
but not nonexhistant.
Truth is to be found,
not taken.
Live today,
thinking tomorrows your last.
