I have learned the long game lesson with poetry
rare startling poems are written in their own time
the when where why writing follows set play rules
sometimes a flash of inspiration by day by night
fades into draft lines a poem elusive not right
a siren haunting that is not right is not quite right
is siren call knowing image concept key word keys
an element within composition is error out of place...
who patient waits days months years
to revisit to find an exact match to sought
inspiration who patient waits struggles fights
ghost image long fight as struggle continues
with perfection declined obliterated deletion ends
or acceptance near enough is ideas stuck good enough...
poems wake walk birth creation time right
time out time now now moment margins
poems attaining an exact tone feel sentiment
heartbeat rhythm may echo through eternity...
