Poet's Solace Poem by Paul Sebastian

Poet's Solace

Between tropical trees I walk
On an old jeep-paved track
Towards the frequented waterfall
Where gushing water breaks
Into stream of gentle claps

Cool breaths soothe my spirit
Nature wrapped, I set to meditate
In God’s presence, I set to entreat
His mercy that constantly radiates

Feathered creatures sing in the trees
Over rocks, butterflies playfully flutter
My cheeks kissed by a gentle breeze
Nature embraced, I float in pleasure

Cool breaths soothe my spirit
Nature embraced, I contemplate
On my life’s journey incomplete
Of vision, mission I had made

With my heart poised, contended
Thankful for Lord’s presence
I paced back home, rejuvenated
Solaced by an encounter in silence

An enconter in silence in the serenity of Nature and the image of God in our mind will certainly rejuvenate us and fuel us with new energy to set out fresh on life's varied missions! A beautiful write!
