Poetry At Esteemed Peak: Is A Novel Experience Poem by Terence George Craddock

Poetry At Esteemed Peak: Is A Novel Experience

Rating: 5.0

my daughter claims poets are insane
my daughter Rachael claims poets
are all angry because
they cannot write novels
there are a few famous authors
who wrote poetry
Homer, Lord Byron, Edgar Allan Poe,
Walt Whitman, Herman Melville,

on this list a few wrote only one novel but
if including playwrights who wrote poetry
a literary giant William Shakespeare shines
now to continue this tale if a poet can write
an entire essence theme of a novel into a single
inspiring incredible poem then the question must

be asked Why Write The Novel?

to clarify a point of possible contention
novels did not exist in the time of Homer
the epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey
are epic stories of enduring novel length
readers find time reading a novel read
