Point Well Taken Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Point Well Taken

Rating: 3.5

Point well taken, we have to make this earth as heaven, stand-
ing rightly against all odds, we have to take away the power
from government officials that we've elected.

They are not representing us in any way, so like President
Trump says, drain the swamp, because that's what life has be-
come due to the lack of moral and ethical education.

Parents not teaching their children values to mature by, what
a loss we have made of our children, many having taken to porn,
drugs, alcohol and indiscriminate sex; marriage tossed aside as
unwanted babies are aborted because immature adults and children
are selfish and self-centered.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A poet friend and I go back and forth about humanity, earth, human frailty through poetry. Hopefully, he will put his thoughts here also.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Khairul Ahsan 23 June 2018

'we have to take away the power from government officials that we've elected' - the less governance, the better society. Home is our first school, our parents the first teachers that leave a lasting impression in our minds. 'what a loss we have made of our children' - the rest that you've said is what breaks the peace of a society. We all would do well to take care of the situation before it goes out of control.
