Political desire, an art so sharp,
for the politicians, it's a harp,
played with words, jokes and wit,
sometimes it stings, but that's a pit.
Elections come and go in a rage,
candidates enter, then disengage,
promises made, then broken soon,
and we're left with a sour tune.
But satirists with their pens so quick,
they see through the lies so slick,
they take aim at those in power,
and make us laugh in our darkest hour.
So let us cherish these jesters bold,
who speak for us, the young and old,
political satire, a voice of reason,
amidst the chaos of the political season.
Very well said, political satire, a voice of reason, amidst the chaos of the political season.
