Political Islam differs from Marxists
And it's a revolt
against the orthodox Islam
It's different from Fundamentalism,
Salafism and Wahhabism too
It's the political movement
to restore the primacy of Shariah.

It began first in 19th century
when Islam lost to western imperialism
and gave political freedom to Islamic world
Second phase started in early 1990s
Grew voices of dissent against dictators
And third phase began with collapse of USSR
And led to the Arab spring.
