Pondering Poem by Belle Wassermeister

Pondering

Rating: 5.0

Today I walk my paths alone
and ponder on the things I've done.
There were mistakes I made, for sure,
and probably I'll make some more.

There was a time when I was young
and captured snowflakes on my tongue
and marveled at the way they felt
as they began to quickly melt.

But time went by, as it must do,
and I have changed, and so have you.
We cannot always stay the same;
nor all find glory or great fame.

I now have wrinkles on my face
and can no longer move with grace.
I think the world will be all right
as I fade slowly in the night.

A wonderful poem on life so beautifully expressed and mellifluous when read. Great poetic expressions and nice rhyme. To my favorites.
