Poor House Weeping Woman Poem by Dorsey Baker

Poor House Weeping Woman

Poor house weeping woman
You weep and moan all night long
Poor house weeping woman
All through the night
You sing your mournful song
Poor house weeping woman
You say
That you have been
Treated with so much
Disrespect
But when you don't respect yourself
What else
Can you expect
Poor house weeping woman
Please try to keep
Your problems to yourself
You can fool yourself
But you can't fool nobody else
