Postman of inertia seeks slumber's site in your eyes
My silent journey to the night's fatigue goes alone
Dense forest of tresses are the surges of river, parting of hair is a lonely path
In the remote unknown homestead, I'm attracted, faraway, secluded,
Crossing a long way through the cold winter, walking,
I feel warmth of the summer
From the ocean of eyes, who the girl immersing deep
Took out all alone tiny pieces of my tender desires
Someone's tinted eyes burn beside my window nightlong.

Someone hugged me with love, though never kept the vow
Still I too called her close and kissed at her chin as youthful lover
Admiring the poems lonely untiring frantic sentry remain sleepless all night
In the moonbeam of Chaitra I hear songs of pale meadow in Krishna's flute
Calling out in melodious tune, Radha, Radha, I remain awake alone.
Radha, Radha, the bridge is built to the bondage of love, temple of heart
This and that, on both sides you and me visit endlessly
Your seat is made up for you only, I feel scared to build an abode of love
But this path is not the way of death through the parting of hair

Desire is bounded in the powerful hands, Radha, O Radha
Like the parting of hair the path is seen on the clouds
In the stillness of meadow a blue-eyed bird remain awake
A giant piece of stone but a pair of hands emerges
In the bustle of the city a blue-eyed bird sits alone on poet's table.


তোমার দু'চোখে এখন ঘুমের ঠিকানা খোঁজে ক্লান্তির পিয়ন
রাত্রির শ্রান্তির কাছেও আমার নৈশ্বব্দ্য ভ্রমণ একা একা
চুলের গভীর অরণ্যে নদী প্রবাহ সিঁথির ভেতর পায়ে চলা পথ
বহুদূর প্রেমের অজানা পল্লীতে আমাকে টানে দূরে, অনেক দূরে
শীতের উপর দিয়ে হেঁটে হেঁটে যেতে যেতে
বসন্তের গ্রীষ্মের উষ্ণতা লাগে
চোখের সাগর থেকে কোন্ সে রমণী টুপটাপ ডুব দিয়ে
নিয়েছে টুকরো টুকরো কোমল বাসনাগুলো একা একা
আমার জানালা ধারে রঙিন বাল্বের মতো সারারাত কারো চোখ।

কেউ প্রেমের সোহাগে কাছে টানে কথা দিয়ে কথা রাখেনি তবুও
ভোলেনি বলেই আমিও ডেকেছি চিবুকে চুম্বনে যুবক প্রেমিক
একাকী কবিতা ভালবেসে ক্লান্তিহীন উন্মাদ প্রহরী সারা রাত নির্ঘুম
চৈত্রের জোছনায় ম্লান প্রান্তরের গান শুনি কৃষ্ণের মোহন বাঁশি
রাধা রাধা বলে সুরের লহরী তুলে, আমি একা জেগে থাকি
রাধা রাধা সাঁকো হলো বাঁধা প্রেমের বন্ধনে হৃদয়ের মন্দিরে বাজে
এপার ওপার দু'পার এখন তোমার আমার আসা যাওয়ার পালা
হৃদয়ের ভেতর আসন তোমার পাতা, বাসা বাঁধা তবুও ভয়
অথচ এ মৃত্যু নয় সিঁথির ভেতর পায়ে চলা পথ

বাসনা দুর্দম বাহুর বন্ধনে বাঁধা রাধা রাধা
সিঁথির মতন মেঘের ভেতর জেগে ওঠে পথ
প্রান্তরের স্তব্ধতায় জেগে থাকে নীলাঞ্জনা এক পাখি
নাকি বিশাল পাথর তবুও আড়াল থেকে উঠে আসে দু'টো হাত
শহরে প্রচণ্ড ভিড়েও কবির টেবিলে নীলাঞ্জনা এক পাখি একা।
