POTTERY MAKING
Melvin Banggollay

Out of clay pounded finely
With great passion and artistry
born an ethnic craft of ingenuity
portraying the distinct creative ability
Of indigenous people who can mold clay
Into various products of immense beauty
like pots, jars, vases and bricks or any
decorative items and other utility.
With some traditional technology
with the aid of a water therapy
after pounding them patiently
with mortar and pestle's fury.
then gentle hands of creativity
molds them carefully and patiently
into finest products with great utility

before drying them with air's serenity

and burning them with fire's beauty.
