Poverty And Poets

Rating: 5.0

It's quite remarkable how the words,
Poverty and Poets,
Appear destined to go together.

Thank you Dominic and I personally don't know of anyone in Wales who has made a single solitary penny from poetry. Thanks again and take care.

I wonder if poets were paid In Greece or Rome, Poetry's home. An undeniable truth in 3 well written lines.

Nice one Shaun...after reading this incisive poem I immediately thought of Mozart buried in a pauper's grave, Van Gogh's suicide or Schubert's desperation...yet we still live in a world where total amoral buffoons make lots of money. Personally, I'm glad that my main source of income does not derive from poetry. Anyway it's a Bruno Tonioli inspired 10 from me! ! !
