Practice Still Reigns Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Practice Still Reigns

Practice still reign

It is perfectly right assumption
And comparison
Between rich and poor
But nothing to harbor against

It is seen
In streets even
Vendors offer generously
To children and elderly

Rich sometimes hesitate
And weigh
Each action with equation
For maintaining relation

Poor have no such tendency
As they believe more in almighty
They make charity with belief
That in later life god may grant some relief

This age old practice still reigns
People begin
With charity in morning
And praying in evening too
