വിടപറഞ്ഞൊരു സൂര്യബിംബം ആഴക്ക്ടലിൽ മറഞ്ഞകന്നു
സൂര്യനെ പ്രണയിച്ച ഭൂമി ഇന്നേതോ
ഇരുൾ മൂടും കമ്പളം എടുത്തണിഞ്ഞു
ശരശയ്യയിൽ താരാഗണം വിടർന്നകന്നു
ചന്ദ്രികതൻ പലോളി ഭൂവിൽ പരന്നു
സൂര്യനെ മറക്കാത്ത ഭൂമിതൻ ഗദ്ഗദം
രാവിൻ മടിത്തട്ടിൽ എരിഞ്ഞമർന്നു
നാളെ വിടരും പുലരിയിലണയും സൂര്യനും
വെറുതെ വിതുമ്പും ഭൂമിക്കുമറിയം
ഈ യാത്ര പൂർണമായ് തനിച്ചല്ല വീണ്ടും
സൂര്യനെ ചുറ്റും ഭൂവായി മാത്രം..
