Pray Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Pray

Pray

God,

If you have ever existed
If you exist

If you have ever had the power
If you have power

If you have created me
If have control over me

If praying to you is of any use
And you are generous enough to listen.

If you have created so many creatures
And have the ear to hear them and to listen.

This sick man that I know exists…
Is included in that mass.

You must have done this;
Out of love?
Out of wisdom?
Out of selfishness?
For a reason and logic?
Or simply out of stupidity?

To end my nonsense:
"God, if you do exist and have the power and accept prayers
Please either take away these feelings and sensitivities that
You have compiled in this two-legged-walking flesh
Or kill me to put an end to this ever burning pain
Or
Give me the power to kill them all
In that way I save them; let me shine.

Sure the so called wise and kind
Or those claimants of such
May call me:
"Brutal! "
