Prayer - Poem by Maxim Dvoytsin

Forgive me, Lord, I pray at night
Forgive the sins I have behind
Believe me, I intended right
Forgive me, that I can't rewind

Forgive me for I was unjust
I never knew what justice is
I am oblivion and rust
Has got inside, I'm on my knees

I never knew I would be struck
With penitence and grief
I am in dust and mortal luck
Will give me no relief

I often cursed the lot I go
I fought the very life
I thought I knew but I ain't know
And sorrow was my wife

I guess I'm wrong for I am lost
A rushing ghost's inside
I hope I'm blessed the most
If there's a single right

Forgive me, Lord, if you are there
A wicked world I'm in
His doom I am to share
But yours to share within

Forgive me, Lord, I pray at night
Forgive the sins I have behind
Believe me, I intended right
Forgive me, that I can't rewind
