Prayers Poem by Daya Nandan

Prayers

When you are lost in thoughts and trapped in fear,
When you feel like giving up and the end is near,
When you are in joy and everything is alright,
When you are making a virtuous choice between wrong and right,

Pray, regardless of your race or religion,
Pray regardless of your country or region,
Pray for your parents, yourself and your family,
Pray for the needy, for the world and humanity,

Pray often and pray for the best,
Pray for good souls to always be blessed,
Pray for the living, also pray for the dead,
Pray for the dying people saying their last words on their bed,

Pray for your ancestors that brought you this far,
Pray for the living creatures under heaven's star,
Pray hard and keep your prayers in your heart,
Pray before every trial is about to start,

Prayers in a way clear the mind like meditation,
When it comes to the spirit, prayers are effective medication,
Pray honestly and keep god close,
And you will see miracles happen when you need them most.
