Promises To Swear Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Promises To Swear

What keeps them united?
When so much is stated
About nuclear holocaust
That world would have to bear and last

There are stockpiles of weapons
That can destroy earth for several times
No system is perfect with proof
It is likely that we might lose the roof

The world is facing renewed war
With no position to go far
The old legacy of mighty power is lost
As each country is capable of holding fast

Love and live without fear
Peace holds the key for future
World needs long breathe
As they have seen enough of deaths

The world may need co-existence
With no threatening stance
The world has come near
With promises to swear
