Proudly Africans Poem by Lexy Ruth

Proudly Africans

Rating: 5.0

Black and strong
Enduring and adapting
A martyr for freedom our forefathers fought
The torment they faced led to our own very regime
Independence we gained
Yet democracy we seek
Terrorism we face
And corruption we fight
Still on the run yet fear stands far
As the very hot sun shines
And sweat pours down
There moves a caring mother with an empty stomach
On a struggle to give her dearly child some golly food
Crazy hustle we largely seek
Strength straight from God indeed
Tradition holds strong as we stand relieved
As every cultural believe is greatly fulfilled
Great nation in every region
A bigger tomorrow we believe
A better leadership we for-see
Proudly united in one strive
For we are Africans in collide

A fine and lofty patriotic rendition ceremoniously rich in tone. An insightful creation written with clarity of thought and mind. Thanks for sharing.
