Struggle Poem by Lexy Ruth

Struggle

Rating: 5.0

Struggled day and night
With a thirsty dry throat
The sky's length seems too far
Like it would last forever
Wondering when drought of blessing would pour down on me
I just ask for a little bit of fame
Cause I hate this barren chains
That makes me crawl picking grains
The poor rags I'm in gets me ignored quickly
Walking down with my dreams hoping weakly
Dirty with mud
Clothes so dud
Till I finally saw a light
That brought me out of the dark night
Looking back from afar
I'm grateful I made it this far
I might now smile at fame but can't forget the struggle
