Providence Favors(Wǔ Lǜ) Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Providence Favors(Wǔ Lǜ)

五律 天怜幽草

天意怜幽草,青青湖泽洲。
春秋芳畹艳,冬夏潋波悠。
弄石临溪坐,寻仙频极眸。
此生如寄旅,幸有不羁舟。

Providence Favors

The Providence seems to favor tender grass
That grows on islets of lake, single or in mass,
Where flowers are prosperous, the year round,
And water swings and shimmers, knows no bound.

Playing with pebbles, I sit by the clear brook,
Gazing far and near, for the fairy-hood I look.
Life is but a journey, journey to an after-life,
Lucky it is, to own a boat free for oneself!
