Prying Minds Poem by Linda Barnes

Prying Minds

You think you know me
I'm not what you see
I'm someone you don't need
A person you have seen

I'm invisible to those
Who have no depth for me
Or others that are closed
To reality of those unforeseen

My soul is hidden in time
From wondering minds
Who cannot fathom
Reality on this day or beyond

I'm far from reality
I search for lost time
Back to a past with no future
I'm standing still, forever

Just a moment caught behind
Unaccountable to you for now
A truth so foreseen
Of those with prying minds
