Release This Pain
Once you had my heart
Given to you without promise
Forsaken to this day
Rejected without pain
It was so easy for you
To take what was given
Without misconception
For you it was perfection
You could have been more
Accepting of my heart
Admitting to your contribution
My suffering that you inflicted
For now I feel such shame
Overwhelming disdain
By a love so unfair
I must release this pain
