Ps And Qs Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Ps And Qs

All adults mind your Ps and Qs.
Little eyes are watching you.
Little ears are listening to you.
Little people are mimicking you.

All children do as you are told.
If you don’t you will get a scold.
You say you’re not the one to blame.
You only watched and did the same.

Excuses are not going to eliminate…
Set a better example, is not too late.
Children happily smile as they grow
When we teach what is best to know.

So true. We visted our son and his wife and our grandson who was barely talking. It was Halloween and she had made him a cowboy outfit, but the pants were too tight. When he struggled to get on his hobby horse, under his breath came the BIG F WORD. His Mom blushed. 'Guess he overheard me when I wall-papered the kitchen. He used the word in the 'appropriate' way to himself and under his breath. The same way his Mom did when she thought no one was lisrening. Tom

I used to believe we should protect the children and to a certain extent this is still true...but having seen what takes place in public schools for an education these days...I decided to better inform my child while I still had influence over her...She has grown up to make a father very proud. Crosby Stills Nash and Young...Teach Your Children Well...before someone else teaches them the crap.
