Purity In Action (By St. Thiruvalluvar - Section 66) Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Purity In Action (By St. Thiruvalluvar - Section 66)

)
651. A good ally brings wealth.
But a good action gives one all the needs.
652. Desist from doing acts
which bring neither glory nor virtue.
653. Those who aspire to rise high
should shun to do inglorious deeds.
654. Those with vivid vision won’t do mean deeds
evenwhen fallen into troubled times.
655. Don’t do remorseful acts.
Repeat not a grieving act, committed once by mistake.
656. Don’t do mean deeds which the wise condemn
even at the sight of your starving mother.
657. Better is the penury of the wise
than the ill-got wealth of the guilty ones.
658. Those who do acts reproved by the great may find gain
but in the long run will cause anguish and pain.
659. Your gain through the tears of others with your tears leave.
But the loss incurred by good deeds, for your growth will weave.
660. To seek and conserve wealth by foul means
likens to pour and preserve water in an unbaked pot.
