Purposive Look... Poem by Varsha M

Purposive Look...

Rating: 5.0

There was a time
I wished most to aspire
But now is the vibe
To finally retire.

Holding on the gear
I dreamt to fathom miles
Little did I clear
Confusion of obstacles.

Marking my calendar
Doesn't change destiny
Outlay planner
Necessary for continuity.

Mark it my brother
Pricetag hang
Scribing future
On choices I bag.

Await ends here
Prize won dear
Blissful guide pair
Rejoicing heir.

I and you may never
Solve this riddle
Even though seems easier
Is not our candle.

Failure is teacher
Success encourager
Me and you jitter
Dipped in anger.

Twisting reed
Can't bend it
Humility heed
Only if you submit.

Me and you grunt
For breath comfort
On wheels, to hunt
All 'cause it support.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We all do things with a purpose all we need is to understand what is the purpose. Often times running the race we forget our own destination. Stopping a while and reviewing it always redirects and rewards.

I began with first stanza and I liked the rhyming and rhythm but my later stanzas were poly-metric so I changed to maintain the same beat and meter too I think.
