Pushing Life's Buttons Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Pushing Life's Buttons

I once pushed a button called love
It caused me to fall to my knees
Now, because love has hurt me
No longer will love be my need

The next button pushed was, forever
That button should have been called, deceived
For when I pushed that darn button
My lover decided to leave

I still had one other button
It was labeled, 'push' if you still believe
So with a 'sigh' I pushed the last button
And it started a 'laughing' at me

At first I felt very angry
Then I started to see
Buttons are made for the foolish
Life is made up for dreams
