Queen Of Her King Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Queen Of Her King

So many years not so long ago
Dear of 'Heart' ruled over the valley below
Somewhere in the town near the river of, Old
A grain mill was built where the water flowed slow

Willow green, along a gray river bed
Enhancing the waterfall pool, by the edge
The Summers were warm soon after Spring
Young lovers for blessing; Honored their Queen

Queen Dear of Heart, Always adored with love
Her beauty and kindness gave favor to all
So often the Queen spread her goodness, so free
Soon it was noticed, by the kingdom of Bree

King Bree, he was lonely, and heard of the Queen
He set off as a beggar with no shoes on his feet
The King came to the town hungry, In need
He was greeted by the people, Who gave him his needs

The people of Heart fed the good king
They gave him new clothes and shoes for his feet
Even the Queen came out to welcome an greet
They stared at each other like two kids on a swing

The Queen' ever falling, unknowing the king
In love with this stranger at first they both meet
They kissed to the cheers of the crowd in the streets
Both fell in love and soon after, married

As the Queen and the King, who gave up his thrown
They spoke of two kingdoms, one now his home
Though they ruled on together, as both King and Queen
Dear of Heart for him always; Was Queen of her King
