Mirrors crack, glass shatters, hearts break
When days go by, in motionless time
Each hour seems a day
Only why' is this, a perfect question
For Love' a crime to pay
How funny something ever frail
So cruel, once thought, well known
A life built with loving promise
Once made a house a home
Sleep is only days away
Till then shaking keeps it warm
Twenty pounds ago, she left;
Dear John, there by the phone
Dear Lord, such pain must be far from, known
For reason, why must the time, so linger
In days, each hour ever more
If only could then, free her
Far from the struggle to appease
Nor for love of ever mine
Bring the strength with a will to live
If only to survive
