Quiet Storm Poem by Nikia Tate

Quiet Storm

Rating: 4.4

I dreamed of you, and the rain did come. Soft and slow, like the sound of a distant drum. The beating perfectly parallel to the throbbing and the rhythm of my heart. This rain continued, not sure how it came to start.. Soon afterwards I noticed, it began to pool, Before this chaotic symphony would end, The Pressure would release once and again. Thunder and lightning moving through and out, all of this commotion and not a single cloud. To this restless slumber, I bid adieu. Sweet peace and deafening silence, after I dreamed of you.

Wow! Great and delicate imagery, so endearing and emotional. Identifying romance and love with nature, such a natural beginning to love. Enjoyed this poem immensely. Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn

What a hearty way to express one's turbid mind and how it affected romance! Definitely, romance need serenity to lush. I enjoyed your poem.
