Racism Does Have Three Colours Poem by Francis Duggan

Racism Does Have Three Colours

Racism does have three colours black, white and brown
And sadly there are racists in every town
And the victims of racism can be of any race
But in humanity for it there ought not be a place

Since the beauty in those different to them they cannot see
Racists are ignorant as the word can be
Where there is mistrust only hatred can grow
The mind bereft of love lacks in the inner glow

All humans come from a similar seed
And all human races with each other are known for to breed
And since red is the blood we all shed when we bleed
Of racists among us we are not in need

Racism leads people to crimes of hate
Too much about this we hear of and read of late
Racist people are not loving or kind
No room for compassion in the bitter mind

Racism has three colours black, white and brown
And sadly there are racists in every town
The beauty in those different to them they does fail to see
And they lack in compassion, love and empathy.
