Searching expectantly
for a radiant rainbow
in the sky
as cooling raindrops
gradually cease…
Silent rays
of sunlight filter through
the moisture laden air
revealing a magnificent display

A rarity
has occurred…
two multicolored arches
with every color glowing
from red to violet
I celebrate the phenomena
that reveals a masterpiece
painted by
the greatest artist

The opalescent bridges
of perfection
stretch high
above the horizon...
soon beginning to fade
into the cleansed atmosphere
All that remains
is my refreshed soul
and a transparent blue canvas…
