Rain Poem by Josephine J.W

Rain

Rating: 5.0

Trudging through an aimless drizzle
That reflects my damp and foggy mind
Slogging on in the endless downpour
That echoes my mind's constant grind

The puddled soil sloshing beneath my feet
The water seeping to freeze my toes
My mind launches thoughts to mystify me
Such similarity in rain no-one else knows

Thoughts screaming out random confusion
As I struggle through the muddy streets
Rain pierces my shivers like stinging arrows
While the puddles in my eyes betray defeat.
