Ramakrishna 04 - I Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Ramakrishna 04 - I

Rating: 5.0

The Paramahamsa
was in terrible pain,
his illness showed
no sign of abating,
but he would say
"Let the body and pain
take care of each other,
my mind stays in bliss;
I do not find my ‘I',
it is God alone who
resides in this sheath.
God has given me
this illness; He decides
how it proceeds."

Note: Jagadguru Aadishankara's the Advaita Vedanta which propounds the one-ness of Jeevatma and Paramaatma in very scholarly words is not much different from the words of illiterate Paramahamsa.
