Ray Of Light Poem by Amitava Sur

I’m dwindled and destroyed
By the death of my love.

I get embroiled with sadness and pain
Through mortality's whirlwind got totally trapped in.

Find myself so tired and exhausted
Being interned within mine.

Melancholy has pushed me
Into the self made exile.

In that moment …..
Through the pin hole of my mind,
I can see the blue sky

With white clouds floating around,
In abundance at large.

A whisper I heard from the soul -
“ let that light come in,
That itself will guide you
Towards the peace of mind.”

Wearing the cloak …. of sorrows and pain
I could listen to the divine … sound of music.

Leading me towards the freedom of soul
To follow the divine path through that ray of light.
