Ray Of Light Poem by Ruma Chaudhuri

Ray Of Light

Rating: 5.0

A faint ray of light
From the dream land
Drift by the window
And holds my hand

With that flickering light
I became glee and bright.
My happiness rose high
As I wanted to touch the sky.

But the light was misty
And faded very soon
The dark clouds covered
The Moon

Again it became dark
And I became blue
But I still now miss that spark
And the moments too.

Since it went away
the days grow long
The misty sky is singing
Only the winter's song.

It's a great symbolic poem. I understand the ray of light as truth and darkness as Maya of the world. I understand winter as the growing age. I understand skies as the home of souls. Truth always touches every one like a dream but our desires pushes back us from the truth and ultimately our souls arrive at the destination where there is no Maya, that is a place of truth only truth.
