Re-Speculations Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Re-Speculations

Changed allegations.
With updated suspicions to make.
Has lessened the need,
To provide truth and its evidence.
In these days when what is gossiped,
Is sought to seek...
Sensations to create and salivate.

Introduced to seduced,
Is a truth invented meant to fake.
Leaving no one left,
Preferring to remain...
Unconscious to facts.
Established for the purpose,
To have what had been speculated...
Revised and given more credibility.
With new lies to tell.
By those who know how to sell them well.

"Out with the old.
In with the new.
Updated and fresh.
And just for you."

-But...
What should I do,
With the speculations I have? -

"These are 're-speculations'.
Quicker to spread.
And much more easier to memorize."

-How effective are they? -

"Time only knows,
Who receives and believes...
Our revised deceptions."
