Reaching For Lost Seasons Poem by Tiffany Wolf

Reaching For Lost Seasons

The summer,
It makes me want to melt.
Just like the warmth,
Created only from your eyes.
The sun,
And its beauty.
It reminds me,
Reminds me of your beautiful face.

Fall,
With the leaves so delicate.
Just like our love,
That needs to be caressed.
The blue,
Of the sky, so beautiful.
Just like your eyes, same color and sparkling without reason.

Winter,
The ice is thin and deadly.
Just as your body,
It hypnotizes my senses.
The snow,
It falls without warning.
Just as our love,
It hits us when we are blind sided.

Spring is here,
Blossoms are blooming.
Our feelings,
Growing and prospering by the second.
Life is back,
And animals are starting to appear.
We realize now,
That we have lost now.

Our love never left,
We just ignored it.
Ignored it,
Like the way people ignore seasons.
Like the way we ignore,
All the simple gifts in life.
So open your eyes,
And your hearts.
Don't be afraid,
For what's in front of you.
