Ready For Autumn - Poem by Eric Cockrell
i am ready for autumn,
my heart's been there for some time.
and there are nights when i wake
to the taste of snowflakes on my tongue.
i've turned in color, burned with passion,
now i await the fall.
the lips of my creek yearn for ice,
i watch the birds prepare to fly!
