Reassuring Rain Poem by Lopamudra Mishra

Reassuring Rain

Brushing away the bruises of
Sweltering summer ache,
A sigh of relief brings the sudden shower of rain.
The dazzling coloured lights in the city
Creates a metamorphic view
Vibrating our spine with its chilled wind &
gushing water, to gravitate in its hue.
The hustle-bustle of the city halts to
Somnolence for a while.
Incessant pearl drops of rain,
Releases a fresh lease of life to hydrate thirsty soul.
The rattling wind ushered in sultry afternoon,
drives the city into transient happiness.
The thunderbolt & lightening stumbles the serene pleasure.
City unaware of natural charm, busy with its parody.
A lots of jam infront of every post!
There stood a dutiful piteous traffic lady,
drenched.
With two little eyes peeping out of her veil,
Waving her hand hither and thither,
Enjoying nature’s tantrums at its best.
Lost her guts to taste the vine,
Oozes her droplets in vain.
The chill winds erode her fear,
From heaven’s open pour,
So reassuring the summer rain,
With lots of splashing fun! !
