Reborn Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Reborn

Surround by light hovering near
Unsure and wondering what’s in store
Questioning a gnawing feeling of fear…
Answers are beyond an unhinged door

Glowing gates are open straight ahead
Sabotaged are flesh and bone
Senses collapse upon an unfamiliar bed
Thrust into shadowy silence… yet not alone

Entering a dark tunnel filled with voices
Familiar faces flash as time advances
Fading… without conscience choice
Waking to a blur of second chances

Colors of spring gloriously leap forth
Budding trees resonate with songs of renewal
My soul absorbs and understands worth
Breathing in life… spiritually fueled
