Recipient Of Lost Time Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Recipient Of Lost Time

Thirty years...
Spent,
In one spot.
Got a watch...
That stopped its ticking!

After throwing it away,
The recipient then realized...
A similar thing was done,
To things wished but never begun!

It seems dreams had also retired,
The recipient of lost time
To hours confined,
Waiting by the telephone!
Hoping someone would call and suggest...
How to schedule something to do!
