Recompense Poem by Barry Middleton

Rating: 5.0

the lessons of life
are mastered by few
it is hard to let injuries go

yet all of the slights
do not matter a bit
as a final wind starts to blow

I try but fall short
at forgiveness and grace
but I never succeed at that

if you feel the same
when I pass you by
just smile as I tip my hat

in the end how we fail
drifts away on the wind
so I hope no one took offense

now I will step aside
as the gray clouds arise
allowing the storm's recompense

Injuries from mind easily do not go far. Few get master knowledge from lessons of life. Although we never get success still forgiveness and grace strengthen humanity. Having smile we still learn many things for failure. Very thoughtful poem is well crafted and shared here...10

I can not imagine how it would sound in my native language. I have to try.It looks like a very good staff for the try.

As always I am flattered. Only wish I could read your translation to Greek.
