Red Billed Leiothrix - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Red Billed Leiothrix - Lincoln Park Zoo

A red billed leiothrix am I,
A bird that is quite colorful,
Both in feather and song is why.
I may be small but never dull.
From southeast Asia I am from,
But home is the Lincoln Park Zoo.
I'm in the Bird House, so just come
To Tropical Forest - please do.
Bottomed yellow and topped in green.
At times you'll see me very still.
White circled eyes survey the scene,
For further check with my red bill.

Some plant or some bug I might meet.
I check it out, then prob'ly eat.
