Reflections Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Reflections

</>I can see you
sat on the floor by your bed
I can hear you too
hear those muffled sobs full of dread
I can feel it you know
All the angst and pain
I can see it drip off you with every tear
after hearing something you couldnt bear
I can see you're wanting to dig yourself a hole
wanting to hide away from it all
I can feel the drive to be alone
the need to have space
I cant see why your crying
cant see why you bother
life's hard, get used to it
the sooner you grow up the better for you
love is one war you'll never win
the sooner you realise the less it will hurt
You cant lie about yourself
I can feel you scrambling for an answer in the dark
I can hear you cry as you cut
I can see you shake as you breathe in the pain
And you can see me seeing you
reflections can be taunting
yours is teaching you something
