Reflections Of Yesterday's Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Reflections Of Yesterday's Love

Rating: 2.5

Lights and illusions giving reflections of yesterday's love,
left in shadows, defiled and left alone, decaying in piles
of disrespect and shame.

Nothing to remember of what used to be, seeing nothing
except an ebony blackness of a heart betrayed in love
and left to die alone and unwanted forever in this life.

No romance or love to discover anew, for it has withered
like flowers of old along with withering images and their
memories of what love used to be and is no more.

Tender feelings no longer being felt, never wanting to be
renewed again in this temporary life, because if it should
happen, death will take it away anyway.
