Reflects And Fades Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Reflects And Fades

Set free the heart imprisoned where light greets shadow
A dream may pass this way
Leave a vision for tomorrow
Perhaps Anew begins today

Love's smell is sweet once soaked in darkness
May the light reflect her distant face
Come walk on stones laid by endless sorrows
Unlike sand, shall never leave a trace

As an echo fades when longer lingered
A stoned heart shall lead the same
To dream, desire is a stolen moment
One time is sure to schlepp away

Broken promises, believed; Become surreal
So then again may hide her pretty face
A mountain of lies for a heart to steal
Until the wounds leave scars, love won't erase
