Refugee Poems Pt2: Battles Lost Poem by Kostas Lagos

Refugee Poems Pt2: Battles Lost

Rating: 5.0

He is sitting on

an uncomfortable seat

He remembers, remembers of the past

so glorious and morbid

How many battles he fought

-most of them lost-

and when will he achieve a victory

to talk about

with invisible descendants

Even finding a place to stay would be a victory for him. Yet his thoughts still move toward the future!
